Never a Dull Moment
As always, I get things going in one direction and then the path curves again. Life is going good keeping me very busy. I'm starting to get settled into my new work schedule and know what I'm doing at my job. Because I'm still new, I'm doing bits and pieces of other's work so can't really get a system going yet but I'm still trying lol. In the midst, I'm learning lots of different things so it keeps things hopping. Once I know more, I'll be on my own with my own work load. For now, I just go in and go with the flow 
My work week is 4 days of 10 hours so I get 3 days off. By my last day each week, I'm looking forward to some time off but the week flies by so quickly, they get here before I know it. I've been enjoying my time off with my family lately. I got some yard work done and planted some plants in pots to begin my plant collection again. I had given my dad some plants and he ended up with a green thumb. Now that he's gone, I've taken his collection over and am splittlng them off so we have multiples. He and I used to trade plants back and forth this way and now I've got them to remember him by. Plants are always a great way to keep good memories of someone going. I've got boston ferns, peace lillies and broumelades again. I also trimmed back the yard bushes to get them ready for winter. They were growing pretty wild so I trimmed quite a bit. I can now see the rest of the plants that are around the others. They were hidden underneath overgrown branches so my landscaping begins
We did a whole bunch of work on my house today. We had rearranging and setting up to do. Elli decided to move in with me this weekend so one more time, we are living together. I only have one bedroom so have limited space. At least it's a nice sized place so she's taking the futon for now. It will help us both get ahead faster this way. My bills are very reasonable so splitting them in two will help me get my scooter and Elli to get her own place. She's hoping to transfer her job here but it'll take a few days to get answers on that. For now, it's nice to have company again even though I was really beginning to enjoy my new life on my own. I know many people out there that are sharing homes to get by in this economy. It's gonna take everyone helping everyone to get out of this national slump!! I have a woman at work who is giving me a ride on the weekends. They changed the schedule so I don't have transportation in the mornings on Saturday and Sunday. I go in too early so it was a problem until she offered to help. And I have to tell you she offered before I even said anything. There's good people out there and she's definitely one of them. Of course, I'm paying her gas money but again, I can get there now without a problem.
Before I knew Elli was coming to stay with me, I had already set up to get that little teacup puppy that needed rescuing. He came the same day as she did and it was a good thing I took him. He's 4 years old but lived outside until rescued. He's a tough little guy after everything he's gone through. So far, he's fitting in just fine. Mooey moved back in of course so now that makes 3 dogs for now lol. As I said, never a dull moment.
Tomorrow, I head into the city for another appointment. I have a ride this time so no public transportation. It takes me 9 hours to get there, do my appointment and then come home so a ride is perfect. I'll be gone maybe 2.5 hours. Saves me most of my day off The rest of the day will be relaxing and enjoying all the things we did today. I sit and look around my house and it feels like such a home. Life is going good and I plan to keep it that way.
I'm starting to get my writing mind back. I had to take a break to get used to my new schedule and to spend my time learning for work. Now that I'm getting into the groove of things again, my mind is starting to work on things to write about. It feels strange because I'm going off in another direction than I was used to but I realize I have so many subjects that would be fun and interesting to write about. I have always written as my mind began thinking about something. My subjects just come to me and take off from there. Another step in another direction as I start this new blog. Right now, I'm working on a couple different entries. They formulate in my mind for some time and then the writing begins. Now I just have to find some time to write it all down
