Life Does Go On After Porn and It Can Be Great!!

I've been spending so much time enjoying my new life that I haven't taken the time to write here more lately. As I said in my last entry, I'm letting my mind and body adjust to everything that has happened so when I start to really write again, I can head in the right directions. There's so many changes going on in my life and with myself these days, it's hard to keep up for now. I'm absorbing so much and relishing every moment as I become just Diana again

Elli moved back in with me and found a job rather quickly. It seems that dog grooming is a trade that there's not many qualified for. For those looking for a new career, Petsmart has a great program to train and work as a dog groomer. Once you do your time there, you can work for them, at an independent shop or even start your own groom shop. I'm lucky to have both my daughters as groomers. It's a good thing since we all love dogs so much. I wish I could do it but am terrified of the electric clippers. I've only tried to use one once and it was a total disaster lol.

My family was going to go to Florida on vacation to visit my parents and go to Disney World. My son needed a haircut so I decided to save the money and do it myself. I had always cut my kids hair but had used scissors to trim them. My father had given me these electric clippers to use so I decided to give them a try, using my poor son as the guinea pig lol. I didn't know you had to put a guard on the blade so when I put it to his head, it cut his hair right down to the scalp. The worst part of it was I had started right in front and on top of his head so I then had to shave his whole head to make it all even. I was horrified but my son was truly a trooper lol. He assured me it was fine and his new haircut was so much cooler lol. A human head is also alot easier than a dog's body. Dogs wiggle around so much more and they have lots of body parts to work around. I'd be afraid I'd cut a toe or an ear off so I figure it's best to leave the grooming to others lol.

Here's a pic of the dogs in my house right now. You'll see ZeZe, my yorkie and MooShoo, Elli's Lhasa. The black chihuahua is my son's and the little guy, Zen, is my newest addition to my family. He's Ze's little brother now and is fitting in real well. He has gained some weight and his little personality is starting to show. The girls like to gang up on him and wrestle him like a stuffed animal but he's learning to stand his own ground and will growl at them if they get too rough with him now

Left to right: Zen, ZeZe, Weetsie, MooShoo

As you can see, I've got a houseful of guests lol. My son and his girlfriend are relocating here since there's more work available where I'm at. One just got a job yesterday and the other has a couple of possibilities. While it's still very difficult to find work in our country, there are jobs out there if you're persistent. My work is going real good so I'm quite content where I'm at. I've been assigned a specific report to work on each week and I'm getting good at completing it already. I only get 2 of the 4 days I work to get it done so that's an accomplishment. It goes to home office which shows them that I'm a hard worker. I really like the people I'm working with too so my life is feeling very normal these days. It's so strange to think back just a month or so ago, I felt so hopeless that I'd ever be back to this place in my life again. It just goes to show you have to have faith and anything is possible. You just have to want it bad enough and be willing to go after it.

I think back to the past 3 years of my life and it feels like a bad nightmare that I just woke up from. Every single part of my life now is back on track and moving forward again. At some point, I plan to get back into the fight to help young women who want to get out of the adult industries. For now though, it's good for me to keep my distance so I can continue to heal. For now, what I don't know doesn't hurt me so they can't get to me anymore. I think that's the most positive decision that I've made to move on with my life. Sometimes starting fresh and closing out negative influences are the best gift you can give yourself. Now when I look back at our time working in porn, I realize just how insane that whole industry really is. Our world would be so much better off if the whole industry was off of our internet system. I'm glad to hear the regulators are working hard to fight for better standards now. I've got some things in the works that will help them along with their task. I have plenty of evidence that I'm organizing which will give them more to work on. It's a daunting task to go through it all but will be worth it once I get to the point where I can turn it all over to the proper authorities!!

My son has a car so I'm not riding public transportation for now. Once all our schedules get going, I'm sure there'll be times when I have to again. It's funny because I almost miss it sometimes. Riding the bus was a great way to see and hear what's REALLY going on in the world. I've said this before and I'll say it again, if you want to know what's really happening in our country and with the economy, just go out and get on a bus or a train lol. Not only will you hear how the average American is really living and what they are dealing with, you'll have time to look around you and see what's going on in your city since you're not driving   Forget what the media and Corporate America are saying. Our country is still in alot of trouble. Corporate America will have you think things are looking up so you'll spend more money on their crappy merchandise and services. That's the only way they can keep us repressed is to get us to spend. But if you take the time to stop and really pay attention, you'll see that they are still not paying for their theft of  Americans money. Truthfully, I think it's really a depression. The only difference is they are afraid to call it that these days.

The good news is while the economy may still be very bad, my life is going very good and it's not affected very much. Being poor doesn't change much when the economy goes south. You already know how to cut corners and live on a shoestring budget. I actually feel truly blessed to be amongst the poor in our country. I'd much rather be here than working for the markets that are still trying to bilk Americans of their hard earned money and assets. I'd much rather be here than to compromise my work ethics. One way to take a stand is to stop helping the rich take what's not theirs to have in the first place. Stand up and start saying no to unethical work standards, say no to doing a job that hurts our fellow Americans. Take a stand and stop buying into their materialistic and credit laden scams. Stop listening to the media and their special interest group propaganda.

I can assure you it's one of the most freeing experiences I've ever had in my life. There's no one controlling my life anymore. That is, no one except me

I dont know how I got here to your blog but Im glad I did!! How right you are about the state of the country! Im the same age as you and got laid off after 25 yrs there...Kinda tough to start over again @ our age! LOL...Keep speaking truth to power Diana and good luck to you!!

    RESPONSE:

    Hey Bill,

Glad you found me and decided to include a comment. It's definitely not easy to start over at our age. It's one of the normal activities of Corporate America these days. Get rid of the long timers to cut the pay and benefits for your position. Sorry to hear you got caught in their games. Sure hope you find another job and one that you're appreciated at this time!!

I will be writing more about the shape of our country here. I feel very strongly that we all have to start talking about what's happened here. Talking and sharing ideas about how to make changes that can affect the outcome of how we live is a good way to get involved. I will have resources to go to soon. I hope you'll stop by again

    Hi Diana,

Thank you for the picture of the dogs They are all very cute

A laughed a lot at the hair cutting story ))))) I exactly know that feeling I cut my hair by myself and use electric clipper too. Once I wanted to cut my hair after some drink (1-2 glasses of vine). It was going well until I mixed the guards accidentally and started to cut it with the smallest guard instead of a bigger one Finally I had to cut the whole and I looked like a marine for few weeks

I'm very glad you enjoy your new life and can take lots of time with your children
